In 2009 Sutton was named as Co-Chair of Democratic Caucus’ Congressional Task Force on Job Creation - DID YOU KNOW?

DID YOU KNOW?

In 2009, Betty Sutton was named as Co-Chair of Democratic Caucus’ Congressional Task Force on Job Creation. As of February 2010, the national unemployment rate is 9.7%. It's a staggering 10.9% in Ohio and has been creeping upward in recent months.

That's some good job creation co-chairing there.

Why didn't Betty Sutton stick to her promise on health insurance reform?

Apparently Betty Sutton was against the new health care law before she was for it but after she was for being against it. Or something like that.

I found this interesting blog post from September 2009, entitled Betty Sutton Says She’ll Vote Against Any Bill That Does Not Have a Robust Public Plan. I'm curious if author Jane Hamsher of FireDogLake.com is interested in doing a follow up interview with Miss Betty?

I wonder what, or who, changed her mind on this promise she made?

It's time for a change - Let's toss Betty Sutton out of office in 2010!

I'm an American, an Ohioan and a resident of Barberton, which is part of Ohio Congressional District 13. I voted for Betty Sutton in 2008.
But I now believe Betty Sutton needs to go. She traded her loyalty to the people for loyalty to her party by voting in favor of:
  • the new health care law, which forces ordinary citizens to obtain government mandated health coverage or face onerous penalties imposed by the IRS.
  • the wasteful Cash for Clunkers program, which took $4,000 out of your pocket and gave it to someone else who wanted to buy a brand new car.
  • and failing to adequately address the unemployment problem in her district.
I'm also the author of a web site called VoteNoBettySutton.com. My intent is to inform and motivate voters in Akron, Strongsville, Elyria, Lorain County, Summit County and all of Ohio's 13th congressional district to oppose Betty Sutton's candidacy, vote against her in the May 4 Democrat primary and toss her out of office in November.
I urge you to monitor this blog and my web site in the coming months. Get active. Get involved. Make sure your voice is heard and your vote counted. Let's un-elect Betty Sutton and bring in a new representative to the House who listens to the people has Ohio's and OH-13's interests in mind.

I oppose health insurance laws that create new debt and turn Americans into criminals. Check out my Letter to the Editor in the Akron Beacon Journal

Just days before the historic - and disasterous - vote on health insurance "reform", which Betty Sutton supported against the will of the people and in lock-step with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Akron Beacon Journal outlining my opposition to the law. My letter is the second on this link and is titled, "Say 'no' to health-care reform."

Perhaps it was "too little, too late." But I was proud of my statement to the readers and voters of this region.

Unfortunately, Betty Sutton ignored my letters and phone calls, and the voices of thousands of other Summit County, Lorain County, Cuyahoga County and Medina County voters.

Most of us oppose this new law, Ms. Sutton. Why have you ignored us?
